La activista Virginia Ruiz saltó al ruedo en una plaza de
España para consolar a un toro moribundo. Las imágenes, publicadas por el canal
de YouTube “Colectivo Antitaurino Marbella”, han dado la vuelta al mundo.
Ruiz contó en una entrevista con Telecinco que durante el
evento en La Malagueta escuchó el gemido del animal y no pudo evitar
interrumpir al torero, quien estaba a punto de dar el puntillazo final. “Quería
darle amor antes de que partiera de este mundo”, añadió.
La mujer bajó de las gradas con un cartel en las manos y
corrió para abrazar al toro. “Mucha satisfacción de al menos poder estar ahí y
demostrarle a este animal que su vida no ha sido en vano y que se ha ido con
algo de amor de este mundo”. Aunque el video no es muy claro, una fotografía
mostró el gesto de Ruiz.
En las imágenes de YouTube se aprecia que la activista
por los derechos de los animales fue rápidamente controlada por las autoridades
de la plaza de toros. Posteriormente, indicó que los empleados la patearon y la
maltrataron.
La activista, primera mujer en saltar al ruedo, reclama
que las entradas para el evento fueron gratuitas debido a que fue auspiciado
por la Diputación Provincial de Málaga. Para Ruiz, quien podría ser multada con
7 mil euros, no es justo que el dinero de los impuestos se invierta en un
espectáculo que no es del agrado de todos los ciudadanos.
