En el marco de sus preinformes a la sociedad meridana, el alcalde Renán Barrera Concha se reunió con periodistas de Grupo Megamedia y dos representantes de la sociedad civil, con quienes habló de sus logros en tres años, los obstáculos que afrontó y de su futuro político, sobre el cual reveló que le gustaría ser el candidato del Partido Acción Nacional a la gubernatura de Yucatán en las elecciones de 2018.
El encuentro del presidente municipal y tres de sus colaboradores cercanos, Alejandro Ruz Castro, Mario Martínez Laviada y Valerie Amador Hurtado, secretario, oficial mayor y directora de Comunicación Social, fue el lunes pasado en una sala de las oficinas de Diario de Yucatán, donde los funcionarios explicaron detalles de los avances a los asistentes: la investigadora social doctora Gina Villagómez Valdés; el presidente del Colegio de Antropólogos de Yucatán, Rodrigo Llanes Salazar; el director de Medios de Grupo Megamedia, Olegario M. Moguel Bernal; el director editorial, Alberto González Uribe, y periodistas del grupo.
Ayer miércoles Barrera Concha rindió otro preinforme en el Club Rotario de Mérida.
Sin grupo político

El alcalde Renán Barrera Concha informó que cuando concluya su mandato el día 31 próximo se dedicará a los negocios particulares.
En visita al Diario, donde habló de resultados de su gestión, lo que le valió la felicitación de los dos invitados a una reunión —la doctora Gina Villagómez Valdés y el antropólogo Rodrigo Llanes—, el alcalde respondió preguntas de éstos y de colaboradores de esta casa editorial. Y una de ellas fue: ¿Aspira a ser gobernador?
Y el alcalde respondió: “A cualquiera que tenga una vida en política le es legítimo aspirar al cargo. Sería mediocridad decir que no aspiro. Yucatán necesita de un mejor gobierno y si se dan las condiciones, si se logra concretar un acuerdo en el partido… puede ser”.
“Si se da la oportunidad claro que me gustaría participar”, enfatizó.
¿De qué va a trabajar cuando deje el cargo? fue otra pregunta de los periodistas.
“Tenemos un negocio de banquetes que cerró, lo retomaremos y trabajaré con mi papá que tiene un negocio de productos agrícolas”, señaló. “Tenemos cuatro predios en Motul, herencia de mi abuelo, quizá entre a la construcción o en otros tipos de negocios”.
¿Cómo sale el alcalde después de los cuestionamientos políticos de sus adversarios? preguntó otro periodista.
“Tengo dos visiones: primero creo que políticamente estoy bien con los ciudadanos porque saben de los logros que tuvimos y con los sectores organizados porque los tomamos en cuenta y saben que hicimos lo humanamente posible para gobernar bien. “Pero dentro de la carrera política hay criterios distintos, hay un divorcio de lo que ve la sociedad y lo que sucede en los partidos. Los partidos políticos a veces no toman en cuenta la calificación social y presentan candidatos irrelevantes”.
“Los partidos son un instrumento nada más”, continuó. “Yo seguiré mi carrera política sólo porque yo he tomado mis decisiones. Ya me brinqué las trancas y gané la elección interna cuando fui candidato a alcalde… hasta me asusté”.
“No tengo grupo político, ni en el PAN logran identificar mi perfil”, explicó. “Hay que fomentar buenos perfiles. En reciente reunión el secretario de Gobernación (Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong) reconoció a mi administración como la mejor del país y eso es un honor, y el líder de los alcaldes priistas del país también me hizo un reconocimiento. Eso es un gran aliciente porque vienen de políticos de primer nivel”.
El alcalde informó que es ajeno a las contiendas internas del PAN y sabe que tiene amigos y enemigos por la forma como gobernó Mérida, pero sólo hizo su trabajo.
Si repitiera como alcalde, anticipó que seguiría con el tema de la reubicación de los ambulantes, mejoraría el sistema de recolección de la basura dando créditos y apoyos a los concesionarios y continuaría las obras ya iniciadas. Megamedia.

El asesinato de un progreseño queda esclarecido

Un trabajo coordinado de las autoridades policiacas de Yucatán y Campeche dio como resultado la captura de los tres sicarios que participaron en la ejecución en Progreso, hace cinco meses, de Julio Martín Solís Pool.
Los detenidos se suman a otros sujetos que fueron arrestados en Campeche pertenecientes a la organización criminal “Pura gente nueva”, asentada en Ciudad del Carmen y responsable de homicidios, extorsiones, secuestros, robo y tráfico de combustible. Estos dos últimos delitos estuvieron vinculados al crimen.
Las autoridades destacaron que la colaboración fue vital para esclarecer el asesinato y para desmantelar a la banda delictiva, escisión de los “Zetas” y cuya pista era seguida en Campeche.

Caen tres sicarios; está quien mató a “El Canalla”


A cinco meses de la ejecución con arma de fuego del progreseño Julio Martín Solís Pool, alias “El Canalla”, las fiscalías de Campeche y Yucatán anunciaron ayer la captura de los tres sicarios responsables, que pertenecían a la organización criminal “Pura gente nueva” que tenía su base en Ciudad del Carmen, pero que operaba en Campeche y Tabasco, y quiso extender su red al puerto de Progreso.
La ejecución de Solís Pool, ocurrida el 5 de marzo pasado en Progreso fue clave para el trabajo de investigación ministerial y policial que desplegaron ambas entidades para desarticular la banda criminal con la detención de 18 de sus integrantes en Campeche y uno en el puerto yucateco cuando fue capturado por agentes de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública tras sufrir un accidente de tránsito en la motocicleta donde huía después del asesinato de “el Canalla”.
El fiscal general de Campeche, Arturo José Ambrosio Herrera, detalló que la ejecución de Solís Pool estuvo relacionada con el tráfico ilícito de 70,000 litros de diésel extraído del barco “INCA XIII” que fondeaba en aguas progreseñas y que fueron vendidos a embarcaciones de Yucatán y Campeche.
La organización delictiva “Pura gente nueva” tiene en su haber 13 homicidios, principalmente ejecuciones al estilo de la delincuencia organizada, 13 tentativas de homicidio, extorsiones, secuestros, acopio de armas de fuego prohibidas y el robo y tráfico de hidrocarburos a las embarcaciones petroleras de la zona de Ciudad del Carmen, en Campeche, y Tabasco.
De acuerdo con pruebas documentadas por medio del sistema de videovigilancia de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública yucateca se detectó en febrero pasado la presencia de una célula de la delincuencia organizada de la banda “Los Potros”, brazo ejecutor de “Pura gente nueva”, con la presencia del automóvil Seat Ibiza, placas WSB-41-15, que usaban para sus operaciones los sicarios. Fue el 5 de marzo pasado cuando presuntamente por un incumplimiento de pago del diésel robado mataron a Solís Pool a las puertas de su domicilio, como publicamos en su oportunidad.
La captura del sicario que chocó con una camioneta en su huida sirvió para la obtención de datos para ubicar a la banda criminal y la información que recabó la SSP de sus cámaras de videovigilancia permitió rastrear el trayecto del Ibiza, de color rojo, y dar aviso a la Fiscalía y SSP de Campeche de que ese automóvil entró al territorio campechano.
El titular de la SSP de Campeche, Jackson Villacís Rosado, dijo que la colaboración e intercambio de información con Yucatán hizo posible la captura y desarticulación de la banda “Pura gente nueva”.
El fiscal campechano señaló que la delincuencia no tiene barreras y por ello es importante la tecnología, el trabajo de inteligencia y uso de la ciencia para su combate. Incluso, dijo que es un acierto de los gobernadores de ambas entidades el equipamiento de sus policías.
“Recibimos en forma rápida y oportuna el aviso del vehículo donde viajaban los involucrados en el hecho delictivo de Progreso, los seguimos y esperamos el momento para capturar a sus dos ocupantes y después a otros ocho integrantes de esa organización criminal”, señaló el licenciado Ambrosio Herrera, quien ya había informado de estos hechos el 24 de marzo en su Estado.
Dijo que este grupo tenía como actividad principal el robo y venta ilegal de combustible para barcos y transporte terrestre y actuaba al estilo de los sicarios: ejecutaban a la gente en motocicleta. Uno manejaba el vehículo y otro disparaba contra la víctima.
“El vehículo Seat pasó a Tabasco, según vimos en nuestros arcos de inteligencia, los esperamos que regresaran y los detuvimos”, relató. “Capturamos hasta al líder de la banda, identificado con las siglas F.C.P, quien está preso”.
El ejecutor de Solís Pool fue F.G.P. en colaboración con Zulaid Jiménez Torres, este último está preso en el Cereso de Mérida.
El secretario general de Gobierno, Roberto Rodríguez Asaf, explicó que no se pueden dar nombres completos ni detalles de la investigación por cuestiones del nuevo sistema de justicia acusatorio.

El fiscal de Campeche afirmó que no hay rastros de “Pura gente nueva” en Progreso.

La Secretaría General de Gobierno presentó por segundo día consecutivo acciones contra el combate al crimen organizado. Anteayer informó de la captura de tres asaltantes de barcos y congeladoras para obtener langosta y pepino de mar, y ayer el desmantelamiento de la organización delictiva “Pura gente nueva” que operaba en Ciudad del Carmen y pretendió extender sus nexos en Progreso.

El martes la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública estrenó un nuevo formato para sus ruedas de prensa porque desplegó una manta espectacular con la radiografía de la red delictiva y los retratos de los delincuentes, con el rostro “difuminado”, y los elementos de prueba.

La muerte de “El Canalla”, por la gasolina ilícita


De acuerdo con las investigaciones de las fiscalías de Campeche y de Yucatán, el asesinato de Julio Martín Solís Pool “fue por la venta del combustible ilícito” que robaron del barco “INCA XIII” fondeado en Progreso.
Las autoridades investigadoras no dieron detalles del tráfico ilegal del combustible ni nombre de las personas sujetas a investigación en Yucatán para no entorpecer las pesquisas.
Sin embargo, en el puerto se rumoró que “el Canalla” trabajó para José Cortés Góngora, alcalde electo, quien tiene 13 barcos de la flota mayor, pero el empresario pesquero ya negó toda relación con el difunto.
Se señala que otros implicados en el robo de diésel son un empresario gasolinero y un empresario pesquero, pero la investigación se mantiene en secresía.
“Sólo hay un detenido en Yucatán por ese homicidio”, precisó el fiscal de Yucatán, Ariel Aldecua Kuk. “Es el que chocó con la moto, está recluido y vinculado a proceso. Con colaboración de la Fiscalía de Campeche sabemos de otro detenido y con las constancias determinaremos su responsabilidad. Continuamos con la investigación y conforme se den resultados se informará”.
El secretario de Seguridad Pública, comandante Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, narró la ruta que siguieron los sicarios en un Seat Ibiza y destacó la aportación de las cámaras de videovigilancia porque arrojó toda la información del desplazamiento, las placas y recorridos de los sicarios en Mérida, Progreso y Maxcanú.
Las videocámaras también permitieron ubicar el hotel donde se hospedaron, El Líbano, y obtener una fotografía de uno de los delincuentes. Con toda esa información lograron la captura y la desarticulación de una red criminal.

El secretario de Seguridad Pública, Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, dijo que fueron de vital importancia las 530 cámaras instaladas en Yucatán que documentaron la presencia del auto usado por los matones. PROGRESO.— Cuando se pensaba que los efectos de la marea roja ya habían pasado y no afectarían a la pesca ni a las vacaciones de verano, de nuevo recalan en las costas del municipio peces, pulpos y hasta langostas vivas.
Además, ayer el mar amaneció turbio con fuerte olor a lodo y sargazo, lo que podría repercutir en lo que queda del período vacacional, pues los temporadistas de la zona veraniega de Chelem y Chuburná optaron por no entrar a bañarse.
La franja costera desde Chicxulub, malecón, playón Poniente, Chelem y hasta Chuburná estaba turbia y se sentía fuerte olor a sargazo, pero las algas marinas aún no recalaban en la playa, en cambio sí arriban peces vivos, en su mayoría pequeños, como lenguados, rayas, pez globo, entre otros.
En el playón Poniente los pescadores Santos Santiago Cruz Canché y José Pérez Ojeda recorrían la playa después de retornar de pesca, cuando en la orilla vieron recalar pulpos pequeños y langostas. Megamedia.

Mérida, Yucatán, 12 de agosto de 2015.- Más de 600 estudiantes de nuevo ingreso de las facultades de Química e Ingeniería Química de la Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY), participaron en la primera “Feria de Inducción”, evento en el que de forma interactiva conocieron los diferentes programas de atención que les beneficiarán lo largo de sus carreras.
El coordinador del Sistema Integral de Atención al Estudiante (SIAE), Jorge Carlos Guillermo Herrera, explicó que esta actividad se realizaba originalmente de manera expositiva en cada una de las facultades y escuelas de la Universidad, sin embrago, en esta ocasión se buscó brindarles una experiencia más significativa de aprendizaje a los alumnos.
“Hicimos módulos a manera de feria para que sea muy interactivo, para que consulten qué programas hay como los de becas, tutorías, movilidad, servicios deportivos y culturales, entre otros, a los que tienen derecho por ser estudiantes UADY”, expuso el funcionario universitario.
El rector de la máxima casa de estudios, José de Jesús Williams, acompañado por el titular de la Dirección General de Desarrollo Académico, Carlos Estrada Pinto, realizó el primer recorrido por los módulos que estuvieron instalados de 8:00 a 12:00 horas en el Patio del Edificio Central de la UADY.

Además de brindarles información mediante pláticas, folletería y exposiciones interactivas en video y computadoras, los jóvenes asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de presenciar exhibiciones de esgrima, de artes escénicas y de las destrezas que pueden adquirir en idiomas.
Tras el éxito y buena respuesta observada, el directivo anticipó que para el próximo ciclo escolar se prevé realizar eventos de esta naturaleza en cada uno de los Campus de la UADY y de las escuelas de nivel medio superior, a fin de ofrecerles una experiencia de aprendizaje significativo a todos los alumnos de nuevo ingreso.

Infonacot ya entregó $180 millones en 8 meses (español e inglés)

Debido a las facilidades y ventajas que ofrece el Infonacot a los trabajadores para comprar bienes y servicios cada vez aumenta el número de los que usan ese financiamiento, se informó hace unos momentos durante la firma de un convenio entre ese Instituto y Coparmex Mérida.
Se indicó que al Infonacot también están recurriendo muchos directivos para obtener crédito para compra de automóviles.
En lo que  va del año ya se dieron $180 millones en financiamiento.
El convenio fue firmado por el director regional de ese Instituto, Miguel Morales Cervera, y el presidente de Coparmex Mérida, Nicolás Madahuar Bohem.
Ese acuerdo es para promover que más empresas se inscriban al Infonacot para que sus trabajadores gocen de ese derecho.

En un futuro el mercado laboral se caracterizará más por profesionales que trabajan por su cuenta y otras personas que generan su propio empleo, “esa es la tendencia”, consideró Luis Escalante Alonzo, gerente estatal del Infonavit.
Entrevistado, recordó que las modificaciones en el instituto que permiten que los patrones y las personas que se autoemplean se afilien son parte del programa nacional denominado Crezcamos Juntos, el cual consiste en alentar que la población deje la economía informal, se registre ante el fisco y entonces goce del acceso al IMSS, al Infonavit y otros programas federales más.
El nuevo esquema, señaló, beneficiará especialmente a los jóvenes que comienzan su vida laboral porque cotizarán varios años, y cuando llegue el momento en que ellos requieran vivienda —cuando se casen, por ejemplo— entonces ya tendrán una buena cantidad acumulada. Y el monto de financiamiento que recibirán será alto debido a ese ahorro y los muchos años laborales que les quedan por delante.
Por ejemplo, comentó que si un egresado de nivel universitario —de 23 a 25 años de edad— empieza a trabajar por su cuenta y a cotizar en el Infonavit, entonces a los 35 años es una etapa ideal para pedir el financiamiento.
La razón de esto es que ya habrá hecho aportaciones importantes y tendrá amplio plazo para pagar porque le quedan muchos años laborales.
Un joven de 23 años que devengue tres salarios mínimos pagaría al Infonavit una cuota de $639 bimestrales, en cifras redondas. Pero debido al programa Crezcamos Juntos, ese monto sería menor porque la Federación otorga un subsidio, el cual es de 50% en los dos primeros años. Después el monto de este apoyo va decreciendo en los ocho años siguientes.
En esas condiciones, cuando pida el crédito al instituto tendrá ahorrado en su cuenta de vivienda $26,851, los cuales llegarían a unos $29,000 con los intereses que ello genere. El financiamiento que recibiría sería de $298,000. Sumando ambas cantidades obtendrá en total $327,000 para comprar casa.
La mensualidad que pagaría para devolver ese crédito sería de $700.
El funcionario recordó que los financiamientos que otorga el Infonavit van de acuerdo con el salario del derechohabiente y la edad de éste. Hay una tabla para hacer esos cálculos.
Luego reiteró que como parte de Crezcamos Juntos, durante 10 años la Federación da una parte de la cuota bimestral que debe pagarse al Infonavit, ese subsidio va disminuyendo conforme trascurra esa década.
También informó que una vez que se hayan cubierto siete bimestres ya se tiene derecho a pedir un crédito, pero esto no se recomienda debido a que monto que se recibiría es bajo.
Los interesados en este nuevo plan del Infonavit pueden obtener mayor información en el portal de internet de ese instituto o bien acudir a las oficinas de este en la colonia Pensiones.

Eso ya cambió, ahora el beneficio puede ser aprovechado por ambas partes.

Uno de los objetivos del VIII Encuentro Nacional de Papayeros 2015, que se realizará en Mérida del miércoles 19 al sábado 22 próximo, es buscar precios sustentables que beneficien lo mismo al productor que al comercializador, según informó Carlos Escalante Méndez, presidente estatal del Sistema Producto Papaya de Yucatán.
—Habrá una mesa de negocios con una intención muy importante, porque hoy día los precios llegan a niveles tan bajos que no puede ser sustentados y lógicamente las personas que pueden mantener el cultivo son las que después venden a precios estratosféricos —dijo.
“Eso tampoco puede ser sustentable, por lo que se busca una intermediación entre los precios de lo más alto a lo más bajo que se esté manteniendo para que la producción sea sustentable, tanto para el productor como el comercializador”.
En la presentación del evento, Escalante Méndez indicó que en la Finca de Papayas planean mostrar a los participantes con cuánta tierra y piedra cuentan para hacer sus cultivos.
También habló de la comida que se realizará en un cenote y la visita a la zona arqueológica de Chichén Itzá, la cual cerrará las actividades con el espectáculo de Luz y sonido.
Recalcó que este encuentro es de suma importancia y que el haberlo traído al Estado demuestra que México ocupa el primer lugar como exportador de papaya, seguido de Belice y Guatemala, el 84 por ciento de las exportaciones yucatecas van para Estados Unidos y un 16 por ciento para Canadá.
Actualmente hay una superficie de 12,500 hectáreas utilizadas para la siembra de la papaya entre los estados productores como Colima, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Michoacán, Campeche Jalisco, Quintana Roo, Yucatán y Tabasco.

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (Por David Chan Caamal, Megamedia).— Regina Tamés Noriega, directora del Grupo de Información en Reproducción Elegida (GIRE), indicó que son alarmantes las cifras de discriminación y violencia contra las mujeres y niñas en edad reproductiva, y Yucatán no está exento de este problema.
Sin embargo, indicó, lo más alarmante es que las autoridades locales y federales no hacen algo para resolver este fenómeno y en cambio sí las criminaliza.
Durante una rueda de prensa ofrecida la mañana de ayer en el restaurante Mexsi Bocu, en la capital del país, Regina Tamés destacó que México se encuentra entre los principales países con la tasa de natalidad más alta en el mundo en jóvenes de entre los 14 y 19 años de edad.
La directiva explicó que de cada 1,000 nacimientos en el país, 64 son de mujeres que se encuentran en este rango de edad, y en muchos casos no reciben la atención adecuada y fallecen.
Denuncias
Regina Tamés precisó que en el país existen 700 denuncias penales contra mujeres por casos de aborto.
En muchos de estos casos ellas sufrieron violencia obstétrica y en sus entidades se les negó este procedimiento al que tenían derecho al ser víctimas de violación o estar en riesgo su vida, o simplemente fueron casos de abortos espontáneos.
