Única en su tipo en el interior del Estado, la Asociación Civil “Vamos Juntos, IAP (Institución de Asistencia Pública)”, de Ticul, cumple este 2015 cuatro años de brindar apoyo, asesoría y ayuda a personas con discapacidad de este municipio del sur de Yucatán.
Se inició con 25 integrantes y ya llegó a 200, es decir un crecimiento importante para el apoyo de las personas con discapacidad que viven en Ticul y en general en toda la zona del Cono Sur.
Alejandro Durán Mukul tiene 42 años de edad y es el presidente de “Vamos Juntos”; un accidente automovilístico hace cuatro años lo obligó a utilizar silla de ruedas y a sacar fuerzas de todas partes para no caer en depresión al perder la movilidad de las piernas.
“La vida te cambia en un instante, te puede suceder lo que nunca pensaste que pasaría y nadie está preparado para ello, eso no se enseña”, dijo.
Durán Mukul, en compañía de Mario Orlando Cach Segura, Elbert y Desiderio Salazar Alvarado, los dos primeros con discapacidad motriz y el último el chofer del grupo, visitó la Jornada Laboral para Adultos Mayores y Personas con Discapacidad, celebrada en el Centro de Convenciones Yucatán Siglo XXI en días pasados.
El directivo comentó que fue un golpe muy duro para él perder la movilidad, pero eso mismo le permitió ver no sólo el dolor inicial de quien padece alguna discapacidad, sino la indiferencia de gran parte de la sociedad.
Su difícil experiencia lo motivó a formar un grupo de apoyo a cualquier persona del municipio con discapacidad y el único requisito para ser parte de ella sería tener una discapacidad, sea cual fuere: auditiva, visual, mental, motriz…
Fue así como vio la luz en Ticul “Vamos Juntos”, hace cuatro años, y el 26 de abril de 2013 la agrupación fue abanderada, junto con 13 Organizadores de la Sociedad Civil (OSC), por la Junta de Asistencia Privada de Yucatán (Japey) para constituirse como las primeras instituciones de asistencia privada en el Estado.
Ante la respuesta que ha tenido la agrupación, hoy busca apoyar igual a discapacitados de comisarías y municipios aledaños y conseguir más organismos que los respalden.
Hoy día construyen un local propio y planean fomentar esquemas de autoempleo, generar ellos mismos en el municipio fuentes de trabajo para personas con discapacidad y no esperanzarse sólo en la ayuda de otras empresas o instituciones oficiales o privadas.
“Sabemos que el camino es difícil, pero en él vamos”, destacó el dirigente de, según dijo, la única agrupación en su tipo en el interior del Estado.

One of a kind within the State, the Civil Association "Come Together, IAP (Public Assistance Institution)" Ticul, meets the four years 2015 to provide support, advice and assistance to persons with disabilities in this town south Yucatan.

Mukul Alejandro Duran is 42 years old and is the president of "Come Together"; a car accident four years ago forced him to use a wheelchair and draw strength from everywhere to avoid falling into depression after losing the use of her legs.

Mukul Duran, accompanied by Mario Orlando Cach Segura, Elbert and Desiderio Salazar Alvarado, the first two physically disabled and the driver of the group last visited Labor Day for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities, held at the Convention Center Yucatán XXI century in recent days.
The manager said it was a very hard for him to lose mobility blow, but that it allowed him to see not only the initial pain of those who suffer a disability, but the indifference of much of society.
His difficult experience motivated him to form a support group for anyone with disabilities municipality and the only requirement to be part of it would have a disability, whatever: auditory, visual, mental, motor ...
That was how I saw the light in Ticul "Come Together", four years ago, and April 26, 2013 the group was championed, along with 13 organizers of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the Private Assistance Board Yucatan ( Japey) to establish itself as the first private welfare institutions in the State.
Given the response that the group has today aims to support disabled equal to police stations and surrounding municipalities and get more agencies to support them.
Today they are building a separate room and plan to promote self-employment schemes, generating themselves in the municipality jobs for disabled people and hopes up not only in helping other companies or public or private institutions.
