PROGRESO.— Siete heridos, uno de ellos de gravedad, fue el saldo de aparatosa volcadura de un taxi colectivo de la ruta Flamboyanes-Progreso ocurrido ayer a las tres de la tarde debajo del puente a Chelem, en la carretera Mérida-Progreso.
Entre los lesionados está un motociclista no identificado que estaba estacionado debajo del puente esperando que pasara la lluvia que caía en esos momentos; fue arrollado por el colectivo luego de que volcó.
El motociclista, quien al parecer se trata de un cobratario, fue atendido por paramédicos de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP); resultó con heridas graves y su motocicleta quedó destrozada. En la vía se quedaron el casco, zapatos y mochila del motociclista, quien fue trasladado al hospital O’Horán para su atención.
Otro de los heridos fue Josué Floridiano Coronado, originario de Sinaloa; vive en la sección de la Armada de México en Flamboyanes; su padre, Guadalupe Floridiano, es oficial de la Novena Zona Naval de Yucalpetén.
El joven, quien se dirigía a esta ciudad para una diligencia, salió disparado por el parabrisas en la volcadura; se puso de pie y sangrando en la cabeza y hombro izquierdo trató de comunicarse con sus padres para avisarles.
—Salí por el parabrisas, el golpe estuvo muy fuerte; los demás pasajeros salieron solos, unos arrastrándose de la camioneta que estaba volcada —narró.
Rosario Aracely Ucán, de 31 años de edad, también vecina de Flamboyanes, viajaba con el niño Carlos Enrique Nieto Rosel, de 4 años; explicó que iba distraída cuando de pronto el colectivo se volcó; protegió al niño y arrastrándose salió del vehículo y jaló al menor.
Sentados bajo el puente estaban Isaías Gallardo Pérez, de 31 años, y Benito Bacab Uitzil, de 60; resultaron lesionados y se quejaban de dolores en varias partes del cuerpo. Otra pasajera que tenía la mano vendada no dio su nombre.
Isaías Gallardo explicó que el accidente ocurrió de la siguiente manera: el colectivo placas 71-93-YSB transitaba de sur a norte rumbo a este puerto. Poco antes de llegar al puente que conduce a Chelem, un automóvil que transitaba en la misma dirección se atravesó y el chofer del colectivo maniobró para no chocar, pero orilló y cayó en una zanja.
Luego, por la velocidad a que iba, el taxi se volcó y chocó la motocicleta estacionada debajo del puente, donde su conductor esperaba a que pasara la lluvia. Por el golpe, la moto quedó destrozada y el motociclista gravemente lesionado.
El chofer del colectivo, quien resultó ileso y sólo se identificó como Isaac, se refirió en los mismos términos que los pasajeros.
Paramédicos de la SSP, de la Cruz Roja y bomberos, así como agentes estatales y federales llegaron al lugar del accidente, donde todo era un caos y confusión.
Primero atendieron al motociclista por la gravedad de sus heridas y luego a los demás pasajeros, que fueron trasladados al hospital O’Horán y al Sanatorio Naval.
El reporte fue que seis pasajeros resultaron heridos más el motociclista. Taxistas acudieron al lugar del accidente para apoyar a su compañero.
