Mérida, Yuc., a 16 de agosto de 2015 (ACOM).-Un joven conductor alcoholizado protagonizó trágico accidente frente a la Delegación Oriente de la Cruz Roja, donde atropelló a una mujer en un paso peatonal y le causó la muerte.
El vehículo del automovilista ebrio arrastró a la víctima más de 250 metros tras reaccionar a los gritos de personas que presenciaron los hechos.
La mujer, identificada como Olivia Ruz Castillo, de 52 años de edad, sufrió graves que ameritaron su traslado a un hospital, donde murió poco después.
De acuerdo con lo que se informó, acompañado de un amigo igual alcoholizado, Jonathan Rey Torre Alvarado, de 22 años de edad, conducía borracho el Sonic placas ZAJ-58-52 sobre la avenida Quetzalcóatl y a la altura de la Delegación Oriente de la Cruz Roja atropelló a Olivia Ruz, quien se disponía a cruzar el paso peatonal.
A causa de su embriaguez, el sujeto no se dio cuenta de lo que había hecho y continuó su camino arrastrando más de 250 metros a la mujer, que acabó con el rostro sangrante y sufrió graves heridas. Fue llevada a la T-1 donde finalmente murió.
El individuo reaccionó ante los gritos de empleados de una gasolinera y un supermercado cercano. Tras detenerse un momento, siguió su camino pisando fuerte el acelerador, pero fue detenido sobre la misma avenida Quetzalcóatl unos metros antes de llegar al Periférico.
Este accidente recuerda el que protagonizó Jovanny López Conejo el pasado 29 de junio en Ciudad Caucel, donde atropelló el motocarro en el que una pareja vendía pan.
