En su más reciente aviso, el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN), dependiente de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua), reporta la formación del huracán “Danny”, el primero de la temporada 2015 en el Océano Atlántico y que, por el momento, no representa riesgo para el país, informa el Organismo de Cuenca Península de Yucatán del organismo federal.
“Danny” es el cuarto sistema tropical con nombre que se forma en el Atlántico en lo que va de la temporada de ciclones tropicales 2015, que se inició el 1 de junio y finalizará el 30 de noviembre. Previamente se formaron las tormentas tropicales “Ana”, “Bill” y “Claudette”.
El huracán “Danny” se encuentra a 4, 561 kilómetros al este de costas de Quintana Roo y avanza con rumbo Oeste-Noroeste a 19 kilómetros por hora (km/h), registra vientos máximos sostenidos de 120 km/h y rachas de hasta 150 km/h.
Presencia
En su informe de previsión, el SMN señala que el sistema podría mantenerse como huracán categoría 1 en los siguientes días y en su desplazamiento hacia el Caribe podría alcanzar Puerto Rico aproximadamente el martes próximo, ya degradado a tormenta tropical.
Es oportuno reiterar que el Centro Hidrometeorológico Regional de Mérida mantiene en constante vigilancia a este sistema tropical que, por el momento, no afectará a costas mexicanas.

Se informó que un sistema de baja presión en el suroeste de Campeche extiende una vaguada hasta el centro de la Península que, en interacción con un vórtice en niveles superiores de la atmósfera, favorecerá el desarrollo de tormentas vespertinas con probabilidad para lluvias fuertes en el oriente, norte y occidente de Yucatán; norte, centro y suroeste de Campeche, así como lluvias localmente fuertes al norte y sur de Quintana Roo.

Dichas condiciones podrían estar acompañadas de actividad eléctrica y rachas de viento fuerte en zonas de tormenta. Habría temperaturas muy calurosas durante el día con vientos del Este, cambiando hacia la tarde al norte-noreste a 20 a 30 kilómetros por hora.
