Varios veteranos árboles se encuentra en la mira de los nuevos juzgados orales, cuya construcción se inició hace unos días frente al Cereso meridano: se espera que sea expedido el permiso para eliminar esas plantas que dan sombra al estacionamiento.
A la inquietud por el retiro de los árboles se une la inconformidad por parte de empleados del Poder Judicial que vieron diezmados los lugares disponibles para estacionar sus vehículos.
Entre los antiguos juzgados y el reclusorio meridano, y el Centro de Justicia Oral de Mérida (CJOM) se levantarán nuevos juzgados orales. Lo anterior forma parte de la segunda etapa de esta obra, cuya primera fase fue inaugurada hace un año.
Decenas de trabajadores preparan el terreno, en tanto que otros delimitan el área donde se construirán los nuevos juzgados. El área de construcción incluye varios árboles que tienen muchos años y están frondosos.
Se prevé millonaria inversión y una rápida edificación de los nuevos juzgados que, al igual que los que están en funcionamiento, sea de dos plantas y esté conectado al túnel que une esos tribunales con el Cereso.
