La Secretaría de Salud de Yucatán informa que hay partes contaminadas con peces muertos

El secretario de Salud de Yucatán, Jorge Mendoza Mézquita, informó hoy, en una entrevista, que la putrefacción de peces ocasionado por la marea roja ha contaminado parte del agua marina del literal costero que va de Chicxulub Puerto a Chuburná por lo que exhortó a los bañistas que mejor no se metan al mar de ese tramo.
Dijo que los manchones contaminados se distinguen por la fetidez del agua marina y el mayor riesgo es que las personas ingieran el agua durante el nado o baño.
Informó que hasta el momento las advertencias son verbales, pero las autoridades de Protección Civil y del Ayuntamiento porteño analizan si es conveniente cerrar la playa o colocar letreros de advertencia sobre los riesgos de meterse al mar en esas condiciones.
El doctor Mendoza y el gobernador Rolando Zapata Bello entregaron obras de mejoramiento por más de $30 millones en el Hospital Regional Agustín O’Horán de Mérida, pero las quejas por la atención continúan en el área de urgencias, un espacio que creció en tamaño, tiene aire acondicionado, bancas nuevas, televisión y bonita decoración, pero aparentemente no mejora el trató a los pacientes, al menos eso declararon tres familiares que se quejaron.
