Mérida, 10 Ago (Notimex).- Yucatán y Oaxaca estrecharán su intercambio cultural y relación artística con la apertura de la Galería Terracota Arte Actual, que desde esta semana difundirá el talento de creadores de esa entidad en pleno Paseo de Montejo, la avenida más emblemática de esta capital.
Citada en un comunicado por la Secretaría estatal de Cultura y las Artes, la directora de dicho recinto, Isabel Ramírez, informó que además de difundir el talento artístico oaxaqueño, en este espacio también tendrán cabida los exponentes yucatecos y de estados vecinos.
De esta manera, continuó, la galería se suma a la amplia oferta que existe en Mérida de lugares dedicados a las artes visuales.
La Galería, ubicada en el emblemático Paseo de Montejo, abrirá sus puertas la noche de este jueves horas con una muestra conformada por piezas de 10 artistas oxaqueños.
Dijo que antes de la inauguración se realizará una calenda, es decir, un desfile tradicional de Oaxaca, en el que los participantes portan trajes típicos de cada región y van acompañados de música autóctona. Iniciará en el Monumento a la Patria, recorrerá Paseo Montejo y terminará en la galería, donde habrá música con banda tradicional.
La exposición inaugural, que permanecerá abierta hasta el 13 de octubre, reúne 30 obras gráficas y pictóricas de los artistas Eddie Martínez, Fernando Olivera, Alejandro Santiago, Leovigildo Martínez, Emiliano López Javier, Rosendo Pinacho, Manuel Miguel, Marcelo Pérez, Rosendo Vega y Ariel Mendoza.
Isabel Ramírez adelantó que la siguiente muestra será una individual de Leovigildo Martínez, quien estudió en el Taller de Artes Plásticas “Rufino Tamayo” y ha realizado siete murales en Uruguay; en Santa Fe y Nueva York, Estado Unidos, y en la Ciudad de México, entre otros lugares.
