El presidente de la Comisión Organizadora de la Elección del Comité Directivo Estatal del PAN, Sergio Angulo Uc, informó que Yucatán tuvo la mayor participación en la elección interna panista del país, con el 73% del padrón de militantes, lo que confirma que hay alta cultura cívica en el Estado.
Al ofrecer un balance de la jornada dominical, Angulo Uc también informó que los representantes de uno de los candidatos a la presidencia nacional del PAN, Javier Corral Jurado, no interpusieron queja formal alguna antes, durante y después de la elecciones en Yucatán.
La sesión permanente de esa comisión terminó anteanoche en forma tranquila y no hubo manifestaciones de inconformidad del representante de Corral Jurado, Jaime Acopa Brito, ni del de Ricardo Anaya Cortés —el otro candidato a la presidencia—, Alvaro Juanes.
El cómputo final de la elección en Yucatán fue: Raúl Paz Alonzo, 4,911 votos; Alfredo Rodríguez y Pacheco, 2,780. Hubo 264 votos nulos, de modo que la votación global fue de 7,955 personas.
En la elección nacional Ricardo Anaya tuvo 5,197 y Javier Corral, 2,402. Hubo 357 votos nulos. La votación total fue de 7,956 sufragios, de un padrón de 10,879 panistas.
Con estos resultados, como ya informamos, Paz Alonzo se convirtió en el nuevo presidente estatal del PAN, cargo que desempeñará a partir de septiembre porque falta el período de cuatro días para impugnar la elección, si hubiese elementos, y la sesión de ratificación a cargo del comité nacional del PAN.
“A partir de hoy (ayer) está abierto el proceso de impugnación y habrá cuatro días para interponer algún recurso de inconformidad”, señaló Angulo Uc. “Cuando venza ese plazo enviaremos al comité ejecutivo nacional el acta de cómputo, el acta circunstanciada de la sesión y las actas de cada una de las 73 casillas de la elección estatal”.
“Si no hay alguna queja, en la primera sesión del CEN del PAN se ratificaría los resultados y se notificaría al presidente actual y al electo, y en cinco días se realizará el cambio de directiva”.
Mañana miércoles sesionará el CEN panista, pero aún no ha vencido el plazo para las impugnaciones, así que no será sino hasta la próxima reunión de los dirigentes nacionales cuando se analice la elección de presidente estatal.
“La verdad, la comisión está satisfecha porque fue una jornada tranquila y muy participativa, porque fue la más alta del país, con el 73% de nuestro padrón de militantes. La elección despertó pasiones, pero salimos exitosos”.

Lo que se hizo es que el comité estatal aportó dinero para la contratación de vehículos que lleven a los militantes a las casillas, “pero fue en forma neutral, equitativa e imparcial porque sólo se les transportó, no se les indujo para que voten por alguien en particular”.
