Iniciativa del Instituto IngeniHum
MERIDA, Yucatán. A partir del próximo 4 de septiembre, el instituto IngeniHum Soft iniciará la “Maestría para estudiantes con aptitudes sobresalientes” que será el primer semillero, en todo México, de expertos para detectar, formar e impulsar a “niños superdotados”, conocidos también como “gifted”.
De acuerdo con información proporcionada por Gerardo Becerra, fundador de IngeniHum Soft, y por la Dra. Susana Páez, integrante del mismo, en estos momentos el instituto se encuentra en el proceso de captación de los 24 a 30 alumnos con los que se iniciará la nueva especialización educativa.
Agregaron que no existe en el país ningún otro programa de formación como éste, de modo que es la primera vez que en México, desde Mérida, Yucatán, se comenzará a formar especialistas para atender a la población de “sobrecapacitados” o con habilidades sobresalientes.
Los interesados en cursar esta maestría pueden acudir a las instalaciones de la fundación ubicadas en el kilómetro 2, lote 4 de la carretera a Temozón Norte, o comunicarse a los teléfonos 406-2929 o 999 163-0987, a fin de obtener mayor información.
¿Qué requisitos deben cubrir quienes deseen estudiar esta nueva maestría?
-Está dirigida a profesionales, que hayan concluido una licenciatura, en cualquier área, y cuenten con su cédula profesional- respondieron.
Agregaron que el costo de los estudios es de $3,500 mensuales y la duración de la maestría es de dos años.
Manifestaron que las clases serán impartidas por profesores “súper-calificados” como la doctora en Educación de Personas con Aptitudes Sobresalientes, Janeth Sáenz, quien posee mucha experiencia en la materia.
La Dra. Sáenz,
añadieron, ha trabajado en muchas instituciones públicas y algunas particulares
incluyendo la Universidad de las Américas, la
Secretaría de Educación Pública, y la Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala, entre muchas otras.
¿Cómo surge la iniciativa para una maestría de estas características?
-Hemos visto cómo muchos niños y jóvenes con capacidades sobresalientes y áreas de reto tienen problemas de adaptación en el sistema formal escolarizado, hasta que finalmente son abortados del mismo, a consecuencia de sus dificultades de adaptación, ya que no hay expertos que los puedan detectar, formar e impulsar de manera adecuada.
Indicaron que este tipo de personas presentan dificultades en las áreas social y afectiva, que es lo que les impide permanecer en los sistemas de educación e incluso insertados en la sociedad.
¿Cómo se detecta a una persona con capacidades sobresalientes?
-La primera sospecha la tienen los papás pues ellos se dan cuenta de ciertas pautas de desarrollo que presentan con precocidad… Se trata de niños que muchas veces están leyendo por sí solos desde los tres años de edad sin que nadie les enseñe, o bien sobresalen en alguna otra área, no necesariamente en lo académico. Pueden tener una memoria visual privilegiada, al grado que pueden memorizar planos completos de ciudades y luego replicarlos manualmente.
Indicó que desde hace ya mucho tiempo el sistema oficial de educación ha trabajado en la detección de “súperdotados” pero hace falta un refuerzo desde la iniciativa privada y es precisamente lo que estamos haciendo desde el instituto Ingenihum.
Así como hay
maestros que los detectan y los canalizan, hay quienes los confunden
precisamente porque presentan ciertos problemas de conducta, al grado de sus
etiquetados como “rebeldes” o flojos, cuando se trata de verdaderos genios.
-Esta ha sido la historia de nuestro país durante mucho tiempo. Mucha inteligencia se desperdicia porque los niños genio no son detectados y por tanto no se potencian sus altas capacidades. Esta maestría obedece a la necesidad de unir esfuerzos para detectar, impulsar y promover a los niños genios para explotar sus capacidades. Es un asunto que requiere de mayor atención y debe ser abordado de un modo más especializado -expresaron.
Es una realidad indiscutible que muchos chicos y chicas que no son aprovechados en México han sobresalido en otros países en áreas de ciencia y de investigación, cuando podrían estar colocando a México en otro nivel no solo de conocimiento, sino también en otras áreas como las artes o cualquier otra habilidad.
-Hay testimonio de casos que han sido ejemplo de la fuga de genios mexicanos que no han tenido acceso a mayor formación e información en nuestro país y por ello, finalmente terminan quedándose en el extranjero -concluyeron.
