Alta demanda del pescado y venden sombrillas a $450

PROGRESO.— Una marejada humana invadió ayer domingo las playas de los puertos del municipio, la mayoría de los paseantes se concentraron en el malecón, donde a las 3 de la tarde los prestadores de servicios y autoridades marítimas y policíacas calcularon 90,000 personas, 10,000 más que la semana pasada.
Taxistas, restauranteros, meseros, policías municipales y estatales calculan que entre sábado y domingo llegaron 200,000 visitantes, de los cuales 150,000 estuvieron en esta ciudad y zona veraniega y de antros de Chicxulub Puerto.
Ayer domingo también aumentó el número de vendedores ambulantes, aproximadamente 500 vendedores de todo tipo de productos y antojitos: marquesitas, kibis, micheladas, granizados, helados, cocos fríos, entre otros. Hubo quienes vendieron sombrillas a $450.
En la playa se observaron casas de campañas y sombrillas, que colocaron visitantes que comenzaron a llegar desde temprana hora.
Los Burgos Interián arribaron a las 7 de la mañana. Los 16 integrantes de la familia rentaron un taxi colectivo que salió a las 5 a.m. desde Oxkutzcab.
Ya en el puerto se dirigieron al malecón para ocupar un buen lugar.
Trajeron una nevera con refrescos y cervezas. Desayunaron cochinita y almorzaron pescado frito.
Otras familias procedentes del sur del Estado, como de Ticul, Peto, Teabo, Muna; del poniente, Maxcanú, y de Calkiní, Campeche, llegaron a esta ciudad a las 9 a.m., también en colectivos que rentaron y otros en automóviles propios.
Familias meridanas llegaron en unos 50 autobuses urbanos, se dirigieron a las playas de Chelem y Chuburná, donde hay un muelle pesquero y amplio playón.
Los restaurantes de los puertos tuvieron demanda de pescado y cebiche de pulpo, especie que está en plena temporada de captura.
En el parque de la Paz en el malecón una firma cervecera presentó a los grupos musicales La Radio, Los Méndez, Liberarios y La Carcajada, que pusieron a bailar a los numerosos paseantes que visitaron el puerto.
En el playón poniente también hubo un baile popular patrocinado por otra firma cervecera.
En eventos deportivas hubo un torneo de fútbol, mientras que en el malecón tradicional se realizó la final del campeonato de voleibol playero. Megamedia.
