Por arriesgar su vida al proteger a alumnos de una primaria en Chicxulub Pueblo, ante el peligro de una fuga de gas cloro, Luis Francisco Herrera Concha fue designado en esta ocasión, “El Bombero del Año”.
Al celebrarse ayer el Día Internacional del Bombero, el gobernador Rolando Zapata Bello y el secretario de Seguridad Pública, Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, encabezaron desde temprano dos eventos en honor de los tragahumos y sus familias.
El primer evento fue en el mausoleo de la policía estatal, con el ya tradicional pase de lista de los bomberos caídos en el cumplimiento de su deber, además de la ofrenda floral y guardia de honor que hicieron las autoridades civiles y militares.
En ese lugar el bombero del año, Herrera Concha, con 15 años y cinco meses de servicio, como único orador y a nombre de sus compañeros, manifestó la satisfacción que sienten y el orgullo de servir y proteger a la sociedad, de modo que se manifiestan: “Firmes y en espera de las siguiente orden”.
Posteriormente Herrera Concha, oriundo de Motul, en el desayuno que se ofreció a los bomberos y rescatistas en el Centro de Convenciones Siglo XXI, recibió del presidente de la Cámara de Comercio, José López Campos, una medalla, placa y $10,000 como un reconocimiento de la sociedad a su entrega en el desempeño de su labor.
En la misma ceremonia, el gobierno del Estado entregó estímulos económicos por $5,000 a cada uno de los tres elementos que cumplieron 10 años de servicio; $7,500, a 21 bomberos con 15 años de servicio; $12,500, a 10 tragahumos por 25 años en la corporación, y $15,000, a siete agentes por 30 años de servicio activo.
Además estos agentes recibieron un pin y una placa como reconocimiento.
Se entregaron también incentivos por $4,000 a diversas escuadras que destacaron durante el año por su labor de rescate.
En total fueron $776,500 que entregó ayer el gobierno a los bomberos como estímulos y sobre todo reconocimiento en su labor.
El gobernador Rolando Zapata Bello hizo un reconocimiento público y agradecimiento de parte de la sociedad a las familias de los bomberos, por el apoyo que otorgan a estos elementos.
De igual forma el gobernador y Saidén Ojeda entregaron nuevos equipos para brindar seguridad a los bomberos en el desarrollo de sus labores de rescate y combate de incendios, donde constantemente arriesgan su integridad física.
En su intervención el secretario de seguridad destacó que cada elemento tiene en común con sus compañeros, además de su formación policial, las ganas y oportunidades para mantenerse actualizados y servir mejor a la sociedad. Megamedia.
