El Tribunal Segundo de Juicio Oral sentenció a veinticinco años de cárcel al “zeta” veracruzano Gustavo de Jesús Arellano Sánchez, quien asesinó de un balazo en el rostro a un joven con el que discutió en el baño del bar “El Corral”,en la vía a Umán.
Al sujeto, condenado por el delito de homicidio calificado, también se le sentenció al pago de de 1’279,226.20 pesos, además de que será sometido a un tratamiento psiquiátrico, por alteraciones conductuales, que se reflejaron cuando obligó a su víctima a arrodillarse y a que le pidiera perdón antes de dispararle.
La defensa del sujetó anticipó que recurrirá a un recurso de casación, porque considera que no hubo elementos suficientes para condenar a su cliente.
El fallo estuvo a cargo de los jueces Sergio Javier Marfil Gómez, presidente; Verónica de Jesús Burgos Pérez, relatora, y María del Socorro Tamayo Aranda, quienes lo amonestaron públicamente, le suspendieron sus derechos políticos, le negaron los beneficios de substitución de sanciones y condena condicional, lo mismo que los de reducción y remisión parcial de la pena.
Consta que se le decomisó el arma de fuego con la que mató a su víctima, se le embargó la camioneta Ford F-150 con placas YP-91147 y se ordenó devolver el lugar de los hechos a sus dueños.
El crimen ocurrió el 24 de octubre a las 21:00 horas, cuando Gustavo de Jesús se encontraba en el bar y en un momento dado se dirigió al baño, donde se encontraba el ahora occiso, Elías Alejandro González Chan, con el que discutió.
El veracruzano sacó de entre sus ropas una pistola semiautomática Pietro Beretta, lo obligó a arrodillarse y le disparó en la cara.
Luego, con apoyo de otras personas, salió del lugar para darse a la fuga a bordo de la citada camioneta, pero más tarde fue detenido armado por la SSP. Formal Prisión.
