LONDRES (AP).— Un mensaje en botella centenario, posiblemente el más antiguo que se haya encontrado, llegó por fin a destino.
Arrojada al Mar del Norte entre 1904 y 1906, la botella llegó a la playa de la localidad alemana de Amrum y fue hallada por una pareja en abril. En el interior había una postal que pedía que la enviaran a la Asociación de Biología Marina del Reino Unido y así lo hicieron.
La asociación dijo el viernes que la botella era una entre un millar arrojadas al Mar del Norte como parte de un proyecto de investigación hace más de 100 años. La postal en la botella prometía pagar un chelín a quien la devolviera a la asociación, con sede en la ciudad portuaria de Plymouth.
La mayoría de los mensajes fueron devueltos hace décadas. La pareja alemana recibió su chelín.

LONDON (AP) .- A message in bottle centenary, possibly the oldest ever found, finally reached destination.
Thrown into the North Sea between 1904 and 1906, the bottle reached the beach of the German town of Amrum and was found by a couple in April. Inside there was a postcard asking her sent to the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom and they did.
The association said Friday that the bottle was one among a thousand thrown into the North Sea as part of a research project over 100 years ago. The mailing in the bottle promised to pay a shilling to whom the return to the association, based in the port city of Plymouth.
Most of the messages were returned for decades. The German partner received his shilling.
